According to updated terms of service,:
o Plus 500 Plan: 500 GB of Storage and unlimited bandwidth for $399.99 / Year. The Plus 500 Plan allows for unlimited image linking and unlimited 3rd party image hosting.

Everyone still gets 2 GB for free and that is a lot more than most people need. I have made a habit of only uploading thumbnail size files lately. I do not know if loading large files to Photobucket uses up more storage. It does not seem to improve the quality of the image if I upload a large file and then post it here. Looks exactly the same as a thumbnail.
I think all files uploaded automatically become small files. They might not be optimum quality for art but they work great for viewing most other things on the internet.

If this turns out to be true, I will pay the $399 to keep all of your images alive. -bg
Thank you, bg. Lately, I have been using a special labeling process for pics I load to the forum. It makes them a lot easier to find in the huge briefcase. For now, looks like the pics I recently brought over from Photobucket are showing here....I cannot access my library when I go to photobucket however. ..but this would not be the first time Photobucket was out of service. It has come back in the past so it probably will again. You're a good guy. bg!

...but rather than $399/month, I would just bring all my stuff over here to the briefcase....but I'm afraid I'd be taking my time if I had to do it all over! Thanks for your generosity though. Dam, you already are spending some money to keep the site going which I appreciate very much.

Mine was disabled for a couple of days...but it seems okay now?I can see my library now anyway...but the cpy/paste deal is not working...it was yesterday. But not the day before. They're getting a HUGE amount of flak from this.Lots are leaving.Maybe they'll go back to making some allowances again.

Definitely not worth the money for me for as little as I use it. Anyone know a good alternative to recommend?

I've never trusted any of these "free" image hosting sites. Photobucket has shown they are greedy SoB's and I hope NOBODY pays their ransom and rewards this extraordinarily bad behavior.
In my view the BEST deal out there for website image hosting is Amazon Web Service's S3. It's not free but it's darned cheap and you have total control of it. I have a few thousand images stored there, many externally linked and my monthly bill is about $0.10. You pay only for what you use, storage + bandwidth but their rates are really low.
You'd have to have a HUGE amount of images hosted on some very VERY busy sites to rack up $399/year.

I refuse to pay anything a month. I have the feeling most other people are not paying either. Hope they came out ahead by selling their slow service. I mean, I could deal with the continuous interruptions by advertising but I'm not paying for it.
